I received a phone call from Assurance. It was about a health plan. My called ID showed phone number 440-271-3704. The caller asked for my Social Security number. I gave it out. After I gave my Social Security number they knew all of my information. I think it may have been a scam call.

I received a letter by mail that i was eligible for Medicare Advantage plan benefits. This plan is not available in my area, so i called the number on the letter. They insisted that they could help me and said this would be recorded for quality assurance. They wanted me to give them a very clear yes for the recording. I said it would be all right. He insisted on a yes which i would not give him. He then hung up. I think they wanted the yes answer for ulterior purposes.

They contacted my sister, then me from an unknown number. Threw around some legal terms saying if raided the system, they were going to take me to court, I could face felony charges and that scared me into providing my account number for them to take biweekly payment from my account

I have received 10 phone calls and one text "following up on a request" that I supposedly made on line. I have made no request. I have requested 4 times to be placed on Do Not Call. The other times, I did not answer. I continue to block numbers, but they keep using different numbers. This is harassment at best, but I suspect phishing.

I was called by my HR who relayed to me this person “company had a case number for me” and wanted my contact information which she didn’t or provide! She also informed me sounded like a scam because another call was similar for another employee. I listened to voicemail that they left me. They said they were trying to locate me and were in process to have it filed with my county which was accurately said based on where I live.

When I called back went to just a voicemail but no official name or company was included just you reached this number....when I got ahold of person for that number she rambled on of she was with! And she intimated me by saying if I didn’t listen to what can be done she has no control on it being filed with again correct county stated. I was on my way to work. When I called back she said no ability to make any payment arrangements or settlements because they were at a stage passed beyond collections agency and my account has been red flagged! However after said she could put I request for installment plan but I must provide a visa? I asked to speak with a supervisor she was very rude. Told me well it’s your account mam! Not mine the decision is yours. He will tell you the exact same

thing etc! Guy got on said no I didn’t have to provide visa first he’ll call put me on hold and see if they are willing to do a payment plan!

Mind you initial call I was told that was no longer a option to me because they were in charge of collecting that’s it or filing in court! So he put me on hold for less than a minute! Which I worked for a call center I know that trick to put client on hold to make it seem like your getting approval it’s a strategy that you use to avoid giving a discount or large discount! So who did he get his approval from!no way he contact anyone!

I didn’t have sound mind stressed over work etc! I began to cry! Guy told me well mam look your not gonna do jail time over this! You’ll just go to court and as of what’s going on might not even be filed for days?

They refused to mail me out documentation detailing what agreed installment plan I would be put on! Said only thing I would be mailed is court order/documents or notice that account was paid in full? Hmm sounds funny!

I believe this to be a scam but I was called by a blocked number saying they were trying to "locate me." They then gave me a reference number and 1855 number to call. I called the 1855 number and they said the same thing, they were hired to "locate me" in Dodge Co. WI for an outstanding debt. The company trying to "locate me" calls themselves Assurance, but could not provide an address or physical location.

This person uses a American mans voice in a recording at the beginning of the call the the lady gets on and tries to say you requested assurance and to verify your info, DO NOT ANSWER YES IN ANY WORDS OR THEY CAN CLIP THAT RECORDING AND SAY YOU SAID YES TO SOMETHING. So I asked her where her office was and she said America and I said where and she fumbled and couldnt answer where in America so then you hear roosters in the back ground and I said so you have roosters in your office? She stuttered and couldnt answer a simple question and I finally said stop calling and trying to scam Americans when you are in the Philippines. And I hung up, 15 min later same call from a different number and she realized she made a huge mistake by calling me again!!!

A so-called company ASSURANCE calls our house at least 3 or 4 times a day. They also use a toll free number selling several types of insurance. They use your household area code and exchange and change the last 4 digits of the number when they call back to avoid your “call block system”. I asked how did you get our number, requested our number be removed from their database, email, any and all forms of contact. I inquired where was the call generated from and I was advised from the Phillippine’s. They are very annoying and they know it. They were not successful in scamming me out of money as I made it clear I know what they were doing.

Assurance calls at least daily (sometimes 2 or 3 times a day) Repeatedly asked not to be contacted. I have never done business with them and never will.

Consumer gave routing and account number to pull a payment of $207.85 due every month on the 7th of each month. I received two e-mails from the e-mail listed above claiming that I had tried to open up health insurance through Assurance. I had not tried to secure health insurance and so I called the phone number that was listed in the e-mail. A man answered the phone and I explained that I had received two e-mails from Rachael B. regarding health insurance that I had not solicited. He replied, "Well, she would have received your information if you were looking for health insurance." When I told him that I was not looking for health insurance he asked me if I currently had health insurance. I told him that it appeared that someone had tried to open an account with my information and that it was fraud. When he heard this, he immediately said, "Ok, thank you for letting us know and we'll update your file." However, I had never told him any identifying information. He quickly hung up.
