I had a notification appear on my computer that said my computer had been compromised and to call the number to have it fixed. I called and they pretended to sell me a security license for my computer. I paid them with a credit card $270 to repair the damage to my computer and $299 for a security license. The next day they called to say that they had lost their license and could not support the protection they sold me. I was entitled to a full refund but they stated they could not refund my money on my credit card but would need to wire the money to my checking account. They somehow got into my checking account and pretended to wire me $3000 instead of the $570. Then they apologized for making the mistake of wiring the wrong amount and asked me to send them the difference with a money order. They were willing to pay the fee to send the money. Turns out they were able to get into my savings account and transfer money from my own savings account to my checking account making it look like they had actually sent me that amount of money. I got suspicious and called my bank to tell them about the transactions. They found that it was really my money they were transferring and had I sent them the money order for the difference between $3000 and $570 I would have been just sending them my own money. I have filed a complaint with my bank for this fraudulent scam. My bank will try to refund my $570 but since I authorized the charge and if they can't prove it was fraud I will be out the $570. This was very slick and very devious. I am sure that they put the info on my computer that my computer was compromised and I am sure they did nothing to fix it except remove their own information. They continued to call me but I never spoke with them again. I hope you can find out who it is that is running this scam and stop it!!! They gave me a couple of other phone numbers 917-231-0910, 800-737-7785 and 909-748-1548. The names they gave me were James Wade, Neal Atkin and Jiac Wu. Luckily I was able to close all of my accounts and change passwords and they have not been able to do any more damage. I am hoping that I will get the $570 back. If you need to contact me please do.
