Secret Shooper scam for Walmart asked to cash a money order and send funds to 3 out off state people.

I received a check from this company wholly unsolicited. They included a check under $3,000. Told me I am to go to Walmart (no specific one), text from pkg lot. Go into the store, purchase iTunes cards in various amounts all under $100. Then have these cards sent to 2 names. Lie if asked if I know either and say yes. I have no intention of doing any such thing. I intend to take it to my local post office.

Was contacted by email to be a mystery shopper. It sounded like a decent gig until I got my so called assignment in the mail. It had a check for $2650 that they wanted me to deposit in my checking account. And then text them after I had done so. Then I was to go to Wal-Mart and buy iTunes gift cards in the amount of 300 dollars and then make two money transfers to two people I don't know. The survey I was to complete when I'm done is very short. So I was kind of suspicious. I tried to look up the company name from the top of the letter on the ScamPulse.com and didn't find it. So I'm not going to do it. I hope this helps someone else.

He contacted me through email as a mystery shopper and i will be making $250 each, he said he will send a packet, the packet has a check for $1990 and instructions on what to do. Once I received the packet he wanted me to send confirmation via text.

Instruction was to go to Walmart and purchase gift in $1490.
