I'm in the process of selling my vehicle. I received texts and a request to obtain the vehicles history report using the link they provided. The report was $24.99 but the payment receipt is what caught my attention. I was charged the amount on my venmo account to somewhere called artworms. I've since read that there is a new scam targeting people trying to sell their vehicles privately and this "merchant" is included in a list of others. I've since frozen my venmo account but I have no idea what information the scammer obtained. If you are trying to sell your vehicle privately and are asked to get a history report, do so by choosing your own means and not by using a link someone else provides! Thieves will stop at nothing to steal from honest and hard working people!
