The company started off by sending me a text letting me know that they have sent documents requiring signature by me to a previous address of mine and that I should contact the given number to reschedule. When I called to figure out what the document is about I was told that they were collecting debt in 2020 for a check/cashing place that I pulled cash from in 2014. Fortunately I am very involved with any activity that goes on with my credit due to a fraud that happened in my name years ago so I have learned to be very vigilant with any activity involving my name. They claimed that I only have today to act and pay the 500 dollars they claimed I owed this company and If I do not act today they would proceed to put this report on my credit. I got off the phone without giving them any information, discussed what is going on with my lawyer and was advised to call the original creditor and verify the original debt. I called the original creditor and requested for any debt or application filed under my name and they confirmed that there has never been any records of me even apply for any loans with their company.
