This website claimed to be a family owned breeding business and was selling Australian Shepherd puppies. They claimed to have a 30-day money back guarantee should the new owner not be able to take the pet for whatever reason. We paid $750.00USD, $600 was for the puppy and $150 was for the shipping cost. After wiring the payment through money gram to a Pascal Nick (they also said they could use western union or zelle) we received an email from the transport company that would be shipping the puppy saying that an additional $950 had to be paid in order to ship the puppy; $115 was for a covid test and $835 for life insurance coverage. We emailed Eastwind Aussies once again to notify them that we could not make that payment and would not be able to get the dog after all. They started telling us that we were abandoning the puppy just because we didn't want to insure his safety, that we abandoned them at their intensive care unit (they hadn't mentioned the puppy being in ICU prior to that). We emailed them again a couple of times asking for a refund and have not heard from them since. They have no other way to contact them other than the email they contacted us from and offered no names. They have icons on their "Contact Us" page for Facebook and Twitter but both links just go back to that same contact page.

Exact same story as report from Dec. 3 2020. I was looking into purchase when I saw the warning so I took it farther. He stated they were in North Carolina. Would not let me pick the pup up. I requested a video chat which they said they were to busy for that. I called the listed number dozens of times with no answer. When I requested there name to verify the AKC registration they stopped responding to my emails. Also the same 8 puppies have been available for adoption on there website.

I wire transferred them $650 for the purchase of a puppy. All seemed on the level. They appeared to be a nice, small family run business. The puppy was to ship a few days later. Two hours before the plane leaves with the puppy, I am informed I need to wire a further $850 for shipping insurance to a 3rd party. When I ask about the reasoning, and question this, they disappear. Their email address is deleted, and the phone number is gone.
