Apple Support Scam Reports & Reviews (5)

I called the Apple Support Team number for protection plans (first one that came up on my iPhone) and I was asked to download a third party app so a guy (the IT person) can see my phone screen. I went with it and the guy from out of state (India) seemed legit, but I am sure that he made a crucial mistake. He kept saying that I had to send the dollar amount (in hundreds) of the verification code or else all of the devices linked to my Apple account would be locked, he claimed that the charges were only pending and both the money would not be moved and the money would be refunded (fishy) even though the money had clearly been moved. He also kept mentioning that there was a time crunch and my account would be locked if I didn't do as he said; "stay on the line" and "do what he says" where his favorite phrases. So, it got to the point where I overdrew money in my account to his amount (the verification code did not come for this one) and he told me to transfer the money from my savings to "fix a mistake." It was extremely scary and he wasn't listening to me at all. His "supervisor's name" is Ladaris Freeman and the email address used for screen recording through a third party viewing app by the name of "Assist Client" (only available on iPhone in App store); his fake email used is [email protected]. He used the name "Max" and the number has a check mark in my contacts which I thought verified contacts, but I'm not surprised that is useless in this day and age. I asked five times for his supervisor and a person came back that was clearly that same guy with little acting experience. This guy asked for my Apple ID email and number after I called this number (same original): (805)-519-5845. After he asked me to transfer funds from my savings account (which I knew not to do), I hung up and called the number back again after 10 minutes with an answer from a different person (woman) from his same region. In this new case, the lady said she would be back and simply hung up. Here are few different numbers involved from that website:

-(808) 563-4672

-(805) 519-5845 (first number that showed up when opening the page)

-(877) 749-7036

Max's email for communication(sad): [email protected]

CashApp: LadarisFreeman

I should also note that the website will not work when put into desktops and this site is not reportable by Google for some reason. I blocked all numbers and hope that at least him is stopped from doing this again. I also have screenshots of every transaction on CashApp, and his conversation on the third-party app. Please cancel them.

We have had 6 calls from Apple Support since December 16th, 4 on the 16th, 1 on the 17th and 1 on the 18th. with instructions to press 1, 2 or 3 for support and assistance. We do not own any Apple products. We are also a no call list that should prohibit leaving messages.

I received a phone call from Apple Support stating my Apple account had been hacked. They said they needed access to my computer to install additional securities. He asked me to get at least 15 feet from my router, I saw my camera go on and a picture of the inside of my house in real time. I asked him about it and he said he was adding securities to my facetime. When in they wanted to go into Paypal, and the one who made me catch on to it all was asking repeatedly for Costco, wanting me to sign in and put all my credit info etc in the Costco account, I tried looking up Apple Support scams while he was using my computer and he deleted it. I then turned off my computer and hung up the phone...oh but not before he asked for numbers from the inside of my phone. Very scary. went in, changed all my passwords, notified the bank and paypal, and now you. He had already taken 3 $100 payments from paypal. I received 3 more called already today.
