If you google "Apple Support" a few of the ads that pop-up show links for technical support that use the apple symbol. The person who was scammed clicked the link and was given the following number to call +1 877 349-6777. The victim was attempting to get support for a MacBook Air. During the call, the scammer (Indian Accent) who stated he was based out of Cupertino, CA, proceded to extract pieces of information to include Apple ID/password, Drivers License #, and Debit Card Information. He further placed urgency on the situation by stating that he only had a one hour call time due to COVID19 measures. The scammer confirmed that he could move money between the victim's checking and savings accounts with the victim on the phone and asked the victim to confirm if she could see the movement of funds in her account. Once confirmed with the victim he attempted to make a purchase with Bitcoin at which point the victim refused.
