My son was playing a game on his phone and accidentally made a purchase for $100. He googled "I tunes support" and found the number 855 968 5240. He explained the purchase was accidental and wanted to be reimbursed. He was told to buy a $100 I tunes gift card and they would be able to reimburse him once they had the number on the back of the I tunes gift card. My son did purchase the gift card, they called my son back and my son gave him the number. They told my so the number did not work and to buy 2 more gift cards. This is when I walked into the room and heard the conversation on speaker phone. I spoke to "Mike Ross" who was clearly of Indian descent. I realized this was a scam. I contacted the legitimate Apple I tunes and my son was reimbursed for his initial inadvertent purchase but unfortunately they said the gift card number was already spent and they could not reimburse him for it. They are aware of this and other scams.
