Was called by Apple Help Desk on 11/16/2020 and immediately transferred to a technician, Jacob Soo. I was advised my Apple Cloud had been compromised. My first response was Apple does not make outgoing calls. His response was it was automatically generated by the Cloud. I then ask, How do I know you are who you are? He directed me to the Apple website and had me type in his name.His name did appear as being on the ARTeam. He then showed me an interactive screen that showed my cloud had three foreign IP addresses signed on. An IP address from Singapore and two from China. He was very emphatic I should let him fix my problem or I would likely lose all my information the hackers. I allowed him to access my computer via www.helpme.net after signing on he ended up taking $3255.56 from my Coinbase Crypto account and $2998 from my Farmers Insurance Federal Credit Union account. One thing I want even If I never see any of my money is Apple remove Jacob Soo from its website so he does not have the opportunity to steal from someone else. I would never suckered for this if he did not appear on their web site.
