I was setting up a new I Pad and looked up Apple care support phone number online. Thinking I was talking to Apple Care the man started to tell me that I needed to go to a store and buy 300 dollars in iTunes cards to get the verification number to unlock the new iPad. Promising that I would get my money back in 5 minutes after giving him the gift card 16 digit numbers. I then called him on this scam and hung up. Later that day he called back cursing me out because I told him I was reporting this scam. I do t know if you can help with this but someone needs to stop these people. I am not sure if this man is in the United States as he spoke with a foreign accent. Possibly an Indian accent and used the name Steve.
