I received an invoice for a People magazine subscription I just renewed for another year. Small print reads "independent agent" but it looks like a bill from People magazine.

My Mother received what at first glance appears to be an invoice for Womens World for $159.90 total amount or $79.95 installment. It was addressed to my deceased fathers name at my mothers current address. Problem is my mother does not take Womens World. In fine red print it says "This is an offer from an independent company, not a bill. Please retain this portion when responding" Offer says to respond by 4/27/2017. A search on the internet of this address indicates that my mother is not the only approached victim. Furthermore, my father passed away in 1991 and the only magazine subscription that still has his name on it is Woman's Day. There is a publisher in SC with the same name, but it appears to be a book publishers. The back of the "non invoice" lists further terms and conditions and guarantees. Ending with "Thank you so much for your kind consideration.

I received an invoice to pay $99.98 installment of a $199.95 subscription to People Magazine. I currently subscribe to People but my renewal is not until November 2016 so I thought it was suspicious. I contacted People Magazine and they said it was not them billing me, that it was a scam.

Atlantic Publishers Group, LLC. Sends us offers to renew a subscription to Plane and Pilot magazine and we never subscribed in the first place. Looks like an invoice and can easily be mistaken for other subscriptions we do take. The mail piece is VERY deceiving and looks like an actual bill until you read the very small pale print. I have called the main number and it is a voice recording saying mailbox is full. This practice should be STOPPED!
