I emailed Antonia about a listing in the Albany area that I thought sounded ideal and received a response. She opens the email as if she's a salesperson and I didn't email her first. She does not answer all my questions (including oil change date, battery age, etc), which is a common theme across many people unfortunately. A rare amount of people would deliver the car to you. She also does not respond from the email that I contacted her on ([email protected]).

I've seen Lexus GX470 on Craigslist from Antonia L Glover. Her story was related her son... Looks similar to her other cases. Just be alert.

Found a post on Facebook marketplace and almost believed it - same story but it’s her son this time

I did not go any further than inquiring about this car, then checked out this site, this is the same story that was giving with a Jeep about her husband died with a heat attack and the car brings bad memories. Just want to warn everyone.

The 2011 Toyota Camry is still available. It is in a good condition, no scratches, no damages, never been involved in any kind of accidents. It has a 2.5 L 4V GAS engine, automatic transmission & only 69,500 miles. ABSOLUTELY NO ISSUES at all and I have the clean title in hand. I'm selling it at this final price $1,000 because my husband passed away 2 months ago (he had a heart attack) and brings me bad memories and that's the reason I want to sell it asap. I also got a new job, moved back to my hometown, and many other things have priority now, so, this car has to go. If you are interested in buying my car, feel free to email me!

Thank you very much,
Antonia L Glover

I just recently got this from Facebook Marketplace with an ad for a 2010 Nissan Maxima for $1,000 and I responded to it and got Antonia L. Glover responding to me. Even got the eBay buyer Projection email. So I checked with the two customer service numbers--first number was busy signal for at least ten mins, the second seemed to be in jersey but it did not see .ike eBay. So I just have the emails, no money or gift cards acquired to complete the claimed transaction...thanks for sharing your experiences, now i know what's going on.

Saw a post for a $2000 GMC Sierra 1500. Went to look up the name and got this site. Didn't go any further with it after I found this but literally the same copy and paste story. Didn't bother to find out any more.

Saw an ad on an obscure internet car site in my local area for a 2010 Toyota Corolla. Price was only $1,000 - said "there's gotta be something up". Carfaxed the provided VIN for $39 and found the VIN provided was for a car that had been declared a total loss. Completely contradicted "Antonia's" story. It is the same copy-paste operation and a complete SCAM. Save yourself time, money, and energy - if it's too good to be true, it probably is.

I thought this was too good to be true. Glad I searched for her and found this site. My encounter was similar. Thanks to all of you for taking the time to post.

Very bad scam, at first believed it because of the heart attack story but not true

The email I received with photos of the car.
I responded but the deal sounded too good so I googled the name to find this is a scam.
I'm so glad I found this site before entertaining this further. We are in hard times and people like this will reap their karma

Came across Antonia’s Ad on Craigslist. She said her husband died of a heart attack and this Jeep had bad memories and had moved back to her hometown of Billings, MT. We asked for the VIN # and we’re told that she didn’t even think about that. It had already been signed and is in the glovebox of the Jeep with all the other paperwork ready to be shipped. Invoice said it could only be paid with a prepaid credit card and once paid in full, she would promptly have the Jeep shipped in 1-3 days. Then promised we Elwood have 5 days to check it over and could return it if it didn’t check out. Promised protection EBay’s buyer protection program. Total scam! Read eBays motor vehicle fraud page and get the facts for yourself. Do not become another victim.

DO NOT HELP ANTONIA! Although I did not fall for her scam, I came close until I did more research into this person. I was going to buy a Jeep she posted for 3500 and she was selling because her husband died and it brought back bad memories. It is a scam, do not fall. Although her message on email seems legit, she sends the same email to everyone. It is not a true car to buy, please avoid.

I also got the email where I found a jeep for 3500, said husband died of heart attack and she wanted the car gone soon because it brought bad memories... said that it was ready to be shipped from eBay...

- Raceland, LA, USA

I called classified ad on craigslist for my area Houma,LA. Left message for a 2005 Toyota Tundra. Someone texted me back saying it was her sister's truck to contact her @email. She said she is in the military/being sent overseas, reason she is selling truck cheap. Sent a fake EBay invoice that looked like the real deal. I am on eBay all the time/never had this happen. It fooled me,these people have really stepped up their game. Wanted payment with eBay gift cards, invoice had eBay buyer protection on it/all. Never got truck, they got $1500 and right after were still trying to extort another $1000 for shipping insurance. It was suppose to be free shipping. Don't fall for it especially if you are old,poor/disabled like me.
