A representative came to my house claiming that the power company sent them to provide them with meter information because I didn't update my readings per my last bill. They were going to try to switch my electricity provider without explicitly saying that this is what they were trying to do. I suspected something was wrong because they kept switching which meter they were trying to check. I knew something was wrong when they asked for a phone number and I gave them the wrong phone number but they were still trying to use it to confirm something.
