I was selling a small item on Facebook Marketplace. I've done this several times without incident. As soon as I published my item I got a response from someone wanting to buy it. (that should have been my first flag since Facebook Marketplace doesn't publish that quickly). The person's name was Anjalica Smith. She asked me to verify that I was "real" and to verify a code that she was sending me. I fell for it. I sent her my cell phone number and gave her the code that was sent by "google voice verification code". I figured this method was something new with the iPhone 13's. I immediately changed my passwords etc and notified my bank and froze my credit.
