My father had an instance recently where he had a pop-up on his computer telling him it was "infected" and to call this 800 number. Unfortunately he did. They got access to his computer, copied EVERYTHING on the computer and installed a "back door." In the meantime, they got him to give his bank information so they could charge his account for a 5 year contract. Luckily, we were able to stop this but had to close his account and open a new one. Company was Animon Solutions of Springfield, VA. They left traces of their work everywhere, and took his IP address so they could watch him. This is a TOTAL SCAM. Beware!!!!
