I arranged to buy a puppy from Elite Golden Retriver Home (www.thegoldenelitehome.com) Paid $700 plus $195 for shipping "door to door delivery." On the morning the pup was to be delivered, I got an email from the transport company--demanding $1700 fee for permit required by state regulation and mandatory with the promise i would be fully refundable upon delivery. I called the breeder, James, who said this just happened to a client in Boston and he didn't know it was a requirementc in Nj too and added that the client did get the money back.

Paid additional money, received confirmation of shipment, received arrival time and expected delivery to door. At the time of delivery, recived yet another demand for $2020 for medical city permit, now saying pup is in Nebreska. What?? Sent email and call transport company and breeder. No answer from transport, no help from breeder and no pup.
