I posted on Facebook, to find someone to dig some holes for blueberry bushes I purchased. He bid but I did go with him and he asked if I needed blackberry removal and I said yes but not until late in the year.. He texted me every couple months asking if we were ready for those blackberry removal and finally I said yes about 10 months later. He came out and bid the job and said it would be $1000 and when he could start. We had him start and on his first day he said he needed 1/2 down now and the rest when he finished. So my husband paid him $500 by check. He came out for a few hours to spray the blackberries and said he would return in 2 weeks to start removing them. He came out 2 1/2 weeks later and said there was someone there doing his job. We responded that my son was on the property burning debris from his yard a couple miles away and told him to go ahead and work on the project even if our son was on location. He said he went through a big event with his wife leaving him and it would be a couple days before he would be back out. He texted a couple days later and said it would be tomorrow before he would come. He didn't show for 4 more days so I texted him with no response. I have texted him, called him multiply time and left him messages, text him on Imessager and no response now for another week. Now it has been over a month since his first 3-hour visit, and we are unable to get ahold of him or for him to return a call or message. We paid him for 1/2 the job ($500) which should have taken about a week of work and all he did was 3 hours.
