About a month ago, I started receiving calls stating my SSN was used in an illegal activity. They said I could clear it up if I connected with them. I assumed it was a scam, especially since they did not use a name for myself or my wife, and hung up. They have changed their tactic, stating this time that they were an officer and I needed to clear up this issue and show up for court, including a docket number. We looked up the last number used and it said it was a negatively rated number. In the three different calls I have received, a different area code for the phone number showed up, 145, 915 and 814. Two calls came to my land line and one to my cell phone.
