The company left a message for me to call them back about an important litigation matter I was involved in. When I called them back on 12/27/18, they started by calling themselves Allied Mediation Services, stating I have an action against me from Citibank from 2011/2012 timeframe which I paid $100 in 2011 and then it was transferred to them. They stated the amount owed was $4,063.16 and would settle for $1,800.00. When I asked for a validation letter, it came from Mungo Financial Group LLC and the Letter itself has AMS Litigations as the Current Creditor. I spoke with Citibank on 12/27/18 after I told them I needed to figure something out, Citibank said they did not have my social security number associated with any collections. Further research proved there is no company named Allied Mediation Services in Georgia, nor a Mungo Financial Group LLC in Georgia, and I have not found a company AMS litigations either. Finally, I know there a statute of limitations AND I paid that bill off long ago.
