Received call about free roof assessment for damage since they were going to be in the area. The phone number of caller (303) 401-1146 has no further info available per Intelius search. The caller ID said AMGEN. The only AMGEN I found in online search is a biopharmaceutical company. Nothing to do with roofing. I tried calling number back within a few minutes and there was no answer. This sounds like the typical roof assessment where they will find problems that aren't there and scam you into signing for a new roof/repair and probably take your money and run. I will not be meeting with them when/if they do show up at appointed time nor will I be signing any paperwork/contracts.

Job scam through Indeed
I was contacted vía indeed as they magically “found” the right candidates for an HR fictitious opening. I decided to look up the company and AMGEN itself is a legitimate company listed in the stock market and all. However, the gentleman who called me had an Indian accent and called me from a CA area code (and was cutting off a lot ?????) he continued to ask for the last 4 of my SSN along with the first 4 numbers of the DOB. SCAM, the last 4 digit of your SSN are the most valuable ones! As they’re the most random

Scam!!!!!
Received an email about a job. Was told to download a messenger app on my phone. So while messaging back and forth with someone I was told I would get a certified check via email or by home address to purchase equipment through their vendor. This was a big Red flag for me. I didn't give them any personal info other than email address. I was also asked what's my daily deposit limit. Another Red Flag so I called them on their BS and and they stop responding. Someone needs to investigate this.

Applied for a job on indeed.com. They set up an interview through google hangout. They sent a check to buy 'gear' for the position and then asked that I buy itunes cards with them. I called the HQ in Ontario and they confirmed that it was a scam.

Scammer's addressThousand Oaks Scammer's email[email protected] CountryUnited States Type of a scamFake Check/Money Order
This initially began as an employment offer via email, then went to google hangouts to do the interview and get the job duty descriptions I was told to hang on while some of my information was processed . Next day I got an official offer letter as well as employment verifications forms . Then by the 3rd day of contact I received a check, mind you I HAD not returned any of my employment forms. I was told to deposit into my account for the supplies needed for this position. They then requested a screen shot for "accounting department " to which I mentioned was not available due to my banks security protocol and they requested confirmation once the "funds" were available . The initial email cam from the VP of the company which seemed suspect and not their HR company . I called the bank the check was from, as well as notified the company I was supposedly talking to .
All they had was my name and email , when they requested more info like address and zip , DOB, and more I declined and never gave anything more.
