I applied to a job on Petsitter.com. I found a listing of a couple who claimed to be moving to my state in a few weeks who needed a dog walker. They roped me in, sent me pictures of their dogs and the lady claimed she was 6 months pregnant. I thought I was going to get a good paying job and help a new family out. I received a check for over the negotiated pay. They had me send the additional $2,200 in the check to their "maintenance man" through Bitcoin. I did this because I thought the check had cleared. Turns out, the check bounced after I sent the money - I had no idea just because funds are available in my account DOES NOT equate to the check clearing. They stole $2,200 of my own money from me, and I let it happen because I was naive enough to trust someone who I had never met in person before.
