Purchased a puppy online through www.bestpuppyhome.com (also a scam) and then they were shipping the puppy from Virginia to Denver and then driving her to our home. I got the shipping conformation from the owner that she would fly on a certain day. The morning of the shipping day I received an email from American Pet Transport saying that our puppy was on hold at the airport because they needed a valid insurance. They reported that the money would be completely refunded once the puppy was in hand. We were told that we needed to use Walmart Money services. Not wanting to delay our puppy we paid the extra money. We were then notified that the payment had been confirmed and that our puppy was on board. We were told that our puppy would be delivered at 6:13 pm to our home. About mid-morning I received another email from American Pet Transport Saying that our puppy had landed in Chicago and the pet department in Chicago determined that she needed a different crate and a vaccine due to adverse weather conditions. And that if we didn't get it paid before the plane took off, the puppy would have to stay in Chicago in quarantine and that the money was again completely refunded when we had the puppy in hand. So, wanted badly to get our dog to our home we paid the extra money again. We were notified through text that our puppy was on board on her way to Denver and that the delivery time was the same. When I asked what flight she was on, they wouldn't tell me a specific flight just that she would be delivered at 6:13 pm. Then they texted and said that our puppy had jut landed in Colorado Springs and would be on her way shortly to Denver. When I questioned why Colorado Springs, the communication ceased. The owner wouldn't answer any emails or phone calls, and the shipping company stopped answering texts, emails and phone calls. My heart sank as I realized that we had been scammed.
