James Goodwin, from American Network Giveaway, called and said I won $15.5 million dollars. The person delivering it is in my state and will be here this afternoon with a Cashier's Check. All they need is a $400 fee and the money will be mine! They don't take cash, or a check, but they will take a Vanilla Visa. American Network Giveaway is sponsored by Walmart, Walgreen's, CVS and AARP. I'm now on my way to CVS to get the Vanilla Card. I'm supposed to call James back at 914-644-0733 as soon as I return home. I'm back and it seems like no time has passed. I will call James here shortly but, I will not be giving him the number from the back of the card. Due to the possibility of phone scams (oh no Batman!) I'm only giving the card/number to the delivery person. Cause ya know, it's just so hard to trust anyone these days! Just called him back and it just rings. Could he be on the phone with another potential winner? I'm sure he'll be calling me back here shortly so he can continue to make my day.

I received a call from American Giveaway Network telling me I won 3.5 million dollars.
At first they wanted me to send $3,500 to Mary Rogers at Simmons Bank in Ten. I told Roger Hill the bank is closed. He then said to buy a one vanilla gift card for $500.00
He wanted my account no. at my bank as he had to fill out paperwork for the IRS. I didn't give it to him. At this moment he thinks I'm on my way to buy the gift card.
I believe this is a scam.

I received a call telling me I won 5.5 million dollars. They want me to buy a
gift card for $500.00 so I can give it to someone who will pick it up.
I'm very suspicious this is a scam.

Yes, this is a common scam. Never, ever, ever give anyone money to claim something you won.

I received a call on 11-02-20 from someone named Bob Mitchell stating that I had won $750,000 dollars. He said that I needed to pay $3, 750 to register the check with IRS and that I need to fill out a 1040 tax form with the IRS something to do with patriots act. I think this is a bs scam
He also gave me a activation code

Ha! A 1040 is only filled out by you when you file your taxes yearly. The poor scammer can't even get his facts right.

I received a call from a consumer protection agent from California telling me I won 750.000. They gave me a number to call and an activation code. Ultimately they wanted me to bond my winnings!?. You can not bond something you to not have and you would not bond winnings in NH. . I did know this was a fraud.

I was called by somebody claiming he was with the California consumer affairs dept and said I was a winner of $750,000. that I had to call a number to claim my prize. So I called and they said I had to call the frb in California to claim my prize. So I called they, said I had to pay 1% of my winnings up front (7500$). needless to say, bs.

They said I would have to pay money out of my pocket.

I received a call from the American Giveaway Network. They support the Cancer Society with a donation. Phone number 646-578-8836 Caller was Fred Curry. Stated I won $750,000. I did *69 to verify the number. They did not ask for money. I requested something in writing. They said they would mail it.
