I received a phone call from the number listed above asking for my maiden name, at 3:22 p.m. on June 6. I answered yes, that was I, and he went into to the usual process, "I'm contacting you on behalf of our client USAA and this call is recorded for quality and assurance purposes", and then asked me to verify my address. However, I am not comfortable with providing my address over the phone to random strangers who ask about a name I haven't used for years. I ask him the purpose of the call, and he says he is calling on behalf of USAA (who I do have debt with). I ask him specifically why is he calling me, is this a debt collection call, etc. He says he can't tell me till we've gone through the two step verification process, which is address and birth date. I ask him to provide me with a company name--American Coradious International. I explain to him that I am not comfortable providing that information because he cannot verify the actual purpose of the call until after I provide it. I then requested a callback at another time, which I will ignore.
