I purchased 2 puppies from an on line website and it was a scam. American Air Carriers told me that I had to get a special carrier to transport the dogs and charged me $1,800 or more per crate which was supposed to be refundable. I paid for one dog crate but they then told me I needed 2 crates. I didn't have the money and told them to cancel and give me my money back.

I should have been able to get my money back as the charge was supposed to be for the crate return. As I didn't use the crate there was nothing to return.

The website that I purchased the puppies from said that shipping was free. I tried to get my money back and they said it was already in shipping status and I forfitied the funds and they were keeping the puppies.

American Air Carriers then tried to tell me that they were going to report me to the police if I didn't pay them.
