I was contacted by Chelsea Williford of Ameribanc National where she gave me an option to use their card reader and equipment to process credit cards for my business. She promised me that I would only be charged per "swipe" and that there would be no monthly fees since I told her that I rarely have need of that service. I was promised a $100 sign on bonus (of which I never received) and the equipment. I never received the card reader, therefore even if I had need of it, I couldn't use it. One month passed and I had charges on my account. I called Chesea and she said she was out to lunch and she would call me back. Never happened. The next month, another charge. I called her again and she said she was in a meeting with the vice president and would call me back, never happened. The third month, another charge. This time, I was able to speak with her and I let her know that I was wanting a refund and my account closed. She tried to let me know that I really needed their services and that the fees were for a social media marketing plan (which was never discussed) and I explained to her that wasn't a part of my signed contract, to reimburse me and we'll be done. She agreed and I assumed that was the end. Nope! The next month I was charged an even bigger fee. This time, I called Ameribanc and was able to speak with someone who said my contract clearly states that I would be charged a monthly fee. We soon realized that the contract she was looking at had been altered and a monthly fee was handwritten in where my copy is blank! Come to find out, Chelsea doesn't work with Ameribanc, but uses them as a processor of the cards, she actually works for Telesales, OKC (apparently a partner with Ameribanc). I have tried and tried to reach someone who can help me get in touch with Telesales, OKC, but the number is routed to Ameribanc. Right now, I'm out $167.19 in bogus fees and have no way of contacting anyone who can help me get the funds returned.
