A company called "Abit Energy" (not sure I spelled that correctly) robo called and said that the power would be disconnected in 30 minutes and left this number to call back. We've received numerous robo calls every week from "Oncor" and "Spectrum" and "AT&T" etc. since we moved into this office that all say the same thing. The number they give you to call back goes to "the billing department." Once you get a person on the phone, who usually has a heavy accent, they ask for your account number. This is a clear scam, and these *** are trying to get gullible people's money and information. Everytime I start asking them questions, or let them know what the law really says about how electric companies handle disconnection, they hang up. Down below, it asks if they attempted to take money. I never get that far on the phone with them, but judging how they try to get account information, it is implied. This has to stop. Please someone, look into this.
