I received a call from someone claiming to be an Amazon agent. He said someone put a $1500 charge on my account and it was now frozen. He asked if I had a computer - I do not. I also do not have an Amazon account.

Was call and told that someone had put a False charge onto my amazon account. They gave me the run around and said that the man had charged up to $2000 on my account for Nike shoes. They then asked for access to my phone through screen share and showed me through a fake website that someone was hacking my phone in Russia. Along with taking a picture of me and my drivers license to prove my identity. They have already taken precautions and stopped the charge but there was the matter of a cancellation charge that I would have to pay and then once I did they would pay me back through my account.

They originally tried to have me pay my account through my card on some kind of bit coin site but it would not go through. Then they told me since that didn't work that I needed to go buy gift cards up to an amount of $1000 dollars that had to be either Google play or Ebay. I stupidly did this and "for some reason" the payment didn't go through and they wanted me to repeat the process. But this time with a tax add on of plus $500 dollars. Rinse and repeat until $4000 dollars in a hole I wised up to how stupid I was being. I called Amazon myself and found out that I had no charge or anything of the sort.

I talked in total too 3 different people. Got names from 2 of them along with phone Numbers. They were very professional in how they ran the con. Even having fake texts sent to you for verification. Along with Reference numbers to your Case file.

Be careful out there and I hope this dose not happen to you.

Caller said Amazon was calling about the delivery of an order from Amazon for $999.99 and wanted me to press #5 on the phone to give account information for the delivery. I hung up and checked my Amazon account and there was no order for $999.99. There is no Amazon office in North Salem yet the phone number was a North Salem exchange 1-914-277-2137.

I received a robocall allegedly from Amazon saying they would be charging my account $129.99.
