Received a call from a person claiming to be from Amazon who wanted to confirm that I opened an account on line 15 days ago. I hung up the phone

I received an email from the scammer pretending like Amazon. It looked almost exactly the same as Amazon unless you look at it carefully. The difference was Amazon vs. Amzone (fake). In any case, what the scammer/fraudster tried to do is that I give them my credit card information. The following is their quote: * After signing up, you have to insert your credit card details for validation of your account. We will not withdraw any amount.

Individuals pretended to be Amazon Prime Video. Helping me to set up my new television set. The actually charge my bank card with amazon purchase for digital playstation cards. I realized it was a scam when they asked what bank I banked at. I contacted the real Amazon Customer service who verified that it was a scam and notified my bank immediately to stop payment.

sent a message proporting to be from Amazon and wanting me to click a link to sign into my Amazon account. Spelling in email was incorrect. Grammar was incorrect. Copied logos. Wanting me to update card information but my card information is up to date and I am using my Amazon account frequently so I know it is a scam. It is the second email they have sent.

My daugher orders things on Amazon. She was on the website and asked to speak to customer service. They told her she can get 30 days Amazon Prime/videos. We don't have cable so she was excited. she signed up for Amazon prime for free for 30 days. they gave her another number to call to get assistance with adding it. The asked my daughter for personal information and asked for her birth date and social security number. Once she gave the woman the social security number, they hung up on her. She called back and asked for a manager and they refused and hung up. Several times.

We called Amazon back and they said they never heard of that number before.

They called me saying they were Amazon and connect me with a supervisor. Hung up on me multiple times and then got very vulgar and belligerent cussing me when out and hanging up

The caller said they were Jennifer from Amazon. I called Amazon and Amazon said it was not them calling. This phone number that Jennifer called from is not affiliated with Amazon

Caller says they want to confirm a $1500.00 Cell phone purchase with the Amazon Fraud Department. Asked for my name and zip code but I did not give any other personal information. I asked what credit card it was and the woman said a visa, I said a visa let me check with my son and she hung up on me and would not answer my calls backs

Someone called me saying he worked for Amazon Security Division. He said that 97 hackers had attached themselves to my IP address. In order to get free of them, I had to buy gift cards to which they would refund my money, but I had to give him the numbers on the Target and Apple cards that I had to buy for $500 each. I was immediately suspicious, so I stopped to contact you.

I was called twice in the same day saying that someone tried to buy $1000 worth of merchandise on my account.

Wanted to know if i wanted to cancel it and that I would have to fill out complaint forms. I never gave any information but I blocked the number

The scam will come from a number claiming that an Amazon Order (or "purchase request" as it is worded in the text message) will be charged to your account soon for an amount of $500 or more, giving you an additional number to try calling - presumably to get your information and steal your Amazon account. I have not called the number or interacted with the number, but it is NOT the Amazon Customer Service number.

Even though I haven't interacted with this potential scam, I felt the need to report it since these Amazon scams are on the rise...
