I received a text saying that my amazon order was successfully processed and $589 would be charged to my card. It provided a number to call back +1 804 415 7775. I called to see what I was being charged for. The guy told me my account had been hacked and tried to prove it by showing me that random things had been placed in my shopping cart (which had been). He asked me some basic security questions and then tried to get me to download a virtual desktop app. I realized what he was doing and hung up on him. I then deleted my payment method from my account. I called him back and told him he was a scammer, and he denied it.

A phone message was left, saying they were "Amazon Support", and did I charge $400 on Amazon for Nike sneakers ?

They left a phone number to call, 316-661-3287. I called the number, they said the charge was made by Nigerian hackers, and

they had to take over my computer, to block the hackers. He gave the name, David Morgan, and supplied a fake Amazon ID number.

I was very suspicious, and said I would have to contact Amazon, and verify his ID. I hung up the phone.

Rec’d digital recording, from 1st phone number, that someone had placed an order on my Amazon account to purchase an I-phone 11 pro in the amount of $1400 (and something). He wanted me to sign on through our lap top. Told him my business was done on an I-pad. He tried several times to get me to get on lap top to “help verify security of the lap top". He stated my Amazon account would not show the I-phone as being ordered because they had put a hold on it. I did give him my name and email. He stated someone else would be calling me in a few minutes to get information to start an investigation. I called the first number back and a female answered and said her phone hadn’t been used all morning. They tried to call back with 2nd number but I did not answer. I did call that number back and “Alex” with Amazon support services gave me the same story about an i-phone being ordered. I hung up.

Received call on my cell phone from male who said he was with Amazon Customer Service. It looked like a local number (940 733-8218) He was calling because my Amazon account was flagged because there was a purchase in the amount of $399.01 made in Ohio and did I authorize it. He assured me everything was fine, he just needs to verify some information and my account will be refunded. He asked what web browser I use on my phone and computer. I asked for a call back number because it seemed odd. He wouldn't give me one. I asked for his supervisor, another male got on the phone, again assured me they are here to help. He provided a call back number (810 310-3742) and said just stay on the phone with him and log onto this website (awesun.com). I refused and said I would call him back. I immediately logged onto Amazon and removed my debit card information and checked to see if there were fraudulent charges. There was not. I contacted Amazon Customer Service and asked about the situation, was told it's a scam. They took all the information given by the gentleman and will file a report. She thanked me for being cautious and assured me my Amazon account is fine.

We received robocall stating it was from Amazon customer service. Call said our amaxon account had recently been charged $13XX.00 fir a MacBook Pro and AirPods and told us to call back to 808 386-2667 if that was not our charge. We checked our Amazon orders and found no such purchases and then tried to check our Amazon credit card account at chase bank. We found that account had been blocked due to a fraud alert. Rep at bank could not tell us what led to that but there were no recent charges we had not made and bank reset our password.

They called my place of work. I work at a Dental office and the phone automated saying my Amazon account had been hacked and a purchase of $7000 was made. To report press 1 to speak to representative and when i spoke to rep and said this is a business not a personal phone number of a person he named off a couple names to confirm it was a real business? When i told him i did not have anyone at this business with those names he said fine and hung up. This happened to me personally a week or two ago and i also reported it to you as well.

I received a phone message / call from a so-called customer service representative of Amazon stating that they wanted to verify that my credit card charge of $349.99 for a laptop was legitimate. When I called back the background noise sounded like a call center. I explained that I don't have an amazon account and I didn't charge anything. They said that someone may have created a false account under my name using my credit card. They said that credit card was already processed. They wanted me to go on my computer and fill out a form. I told them that I'll call my credit card company and hung up. I called my credit card company and they verified that no charge had been made and nothing was showing up.

Received phone call posing as Amazon Customer Service (showed up on caller id that way) on cell & house phone. Indicated I had an account with them and they would take $32 out of my bank account tommorrow. They were unable to see that information so they were requesting my bank ccount information. Asked to speak to a supervisor and I was on a long hold. After I talked to him, he put me on hold again. He never provided any information but would turn over my account to supervisors and they would call in 24 hours to tell me what they found out and to verify I don't have an account with them.

These people put a Amazon clone website on the internet claiming to be Amazon Customer Service. Then they trick the caller into giving them access to their home computer by downloading a program called GoToAssist. Then the log into the person's Amazon Account and change settings, shipping addresses and 1 click setting to their own address and start purchasing several hundred dollars worth of gift cards. They justify this by telling the person they have multiple viruses on there computer and they're in the process of cleaning them out. Lastly, they ask for all of the victims credit card numbers because Amazon only shows the last four.
