I was looking to buy a golden retriever. I began researching online and the website amazingretrievers.com came up. It looks like a very real website. It includes pictures of the puppies, testimonials, about their business, and contact info. I emailed them through their site and very quickly received a text message back. The man sent me pics of the puppies and asked where I lived. He told me he just recently shipped in my state the previous week. He sent me a video of the parents when I asked. I told him that I wanted to think about it and which he respected me and didn’t text me again. Later that day I told him that I did want to go through with buying the puppy. He sent me a pet sales agreement and had me sign and scan it back to him. He then asked me to proceed with payment through Zelle. He was very persistent on sending the money quickly so that he could make the vet visit for the following day and get him shipped to me. The following day he texted me saying the vet was very busy that morning but he would keep me informed. I felt uneasy and told him I had changed my mind and would like a refund. He told me he would refund me as soon as he got back from the vet. He never did.
