The business was posing as a pet private breeder. I was purchasing a puppy from them, for $400 plus 100% shipping. The puppy was coming from VA and was going to be shipped to me at FL. They made me send them the $500 through Zelle because "all their clients do it through there". After the sale they were texting me that the next day we would proceed with the delivery and I will be contacted with their Pet Shipment Agency. The next day the agency emailed me what looked like a sketchy website, they emailed me the confirmation numbers and then texted me that there was one requirement before proceeding, I had to rent a "Thermal Electronic Crate" for $950! I refused and then they kept trying to get me to buy it with all these different lies. I told them I did not want to proceed with the transaction and I wanted my $500 back but they didn't respond. I filed a police report after that but I'm not sure if I'll be getting my money back because I sent it through Zelle, which is ridiculous that they don't ensure your money is protected from fraud.
