Type of a scam Online Purchase

This was a scam. They were offering Labrador puppies for sale on their website. We contacted him via e-mail and he was insistent that we send him 60% as a down payment. When we expressed concern about sending money to a stranger before we have seen the product, there was more high pressure saying there were many people waiting for this sweet little puppy. When we Googled them on a computer and not a phone, there was a warning that they were a scam.
