The caller claimed to be Aaron from ADRA calling in regards to a lender GE Capital (Visa card services). I apparently had a credit card in 2010 and defaulted for over $700 and if I did not settle for the lesser amount over the phone they would serve me paper in 3-5 business days and I would have a mandatory court date. Also I researched GE Capital and they are known as Synchrony bank and I have a line of credit open with them right now. I called and confirmed that they are not coming after me for money as they would have had record of it

A person called saying they were going to try to deliver court papers to me and that they would try the next day February 14th between 3 and 5 p.m. and that if I had any questions about what I was being served papers for to call the number that I put in this report when I called that number a woman said that she was with a mediation company called alternative dispute resolution and that I owed x amount of dollars and I was being sued by Wells Fargo that debt was an old debt of mine but it was many years old too old to collect on I found it odd she asked me to verify my social security number and then said it to me I thought it was weird at the time but now looking back maybe that should have been a bigger red flag she says the Wells Fargo is suing me for three times the debt plus all these legal fees and court cost and it all came to $10,000 but I could just settle the original $2,000 debt now and it would just go away I that weird I said I didn't really understand where she was coming from and that I needed to call a lawyer call the lawyer he was instantly like that's most likely a scam call the woman back to check some more because I wanted resolution I asked her about her business I asked her what was their full name etc etc how can I verify that this was a legitimate business and she said oh just hold on one moment and I'll get you that information and then she placed me on hold and while I was on hold hung up on me I then tried to call back but no one answered just a guy saying that this was the desk of so and so I wish I could remember the name but I don't
