Person identified himself as Maurice Hunter with ADC's fraud division. States he's calling about delinquent account. Other people have also called from the same number saying that they are mediators, and that I had a returned check from 2013. I ignored it at first, believing it to be a scam, but after several calls returned their call and I said I wanted to know the date, amount and number of the check so I could verify with my bank. That's when they got ugly and threatening. I've also received calls from the same number stating that there has been fraudulent activity associated with my name and social security number. Don't know exactly how the scam works, maybe if you're agreeable they try to charge you for so called mediation?

Have also received similar phone calls from phone number 833-378-6230. They don't identify an organization, they just say "fraud department". At the end of the messages they always say..."and we wish you the best of luck."
