Alpharooms called telling us that someone wanted to buy my Timeshare. I have received calls like this before where they want money upfront from the seller. They offered more money than what I paid for the Timeshare, which enticed me, then I told them I refuse to pay any upfront costs, they promised there would be NO UPFRONT FEES, so we proceeded forward. They did tell me that they will charge me 5% of their offer for my timeshare, but will deduct it from the total, so I agreed. I filled out the forms emailed over, requesting contract # and membership #, then when all was suppose to be approved, they told me my money will be held in their account till I finalize the forms with the Timeshare company. They sent me documents that were suppose to be from the timeshare, requesting that the transfer fees be paid by the seller only and not a 3rd party. I called the Timeshare company, they told me they never received or sent any documents requesting a transfer for our membership, and they do not care who pays the transfer fees, plus they would not have the payment going to the person on the documents, it is clearly Fraud. When i called Alpharooms, they made up a story and said there was a mistake and they will get it taken care of. When they called me back they told me they are waiting for me to pay the amount owed and told me they never promised NO UPFRONT FEES. They told me they went over this with me and it is in the contract we signed, which it is clearly not and I know what I stated in the beginning. I told them I would never pay an upfront fee and they got rude with me and said some unprofessional and demeaning remarks about me, trying to belittle me and hung up.
