Type of a scam Employment
The name used for the initial contact is Mr. Gardner Thompson. He will then tell you to download the Telegram app and add "Julian Sigler" as a contact to conduct the interview.
They will then try to get you to send money to them via e-transfer so they can send you office supplies. They may also send you a cheque for $2000 (or some other amount) that will promptly bounce. Once they receive your money, and you try to get it back, they will block you and you are out $200 (or whatever you have given them).
DO NOT GIVE THEM ANY INFORMATION! Please post online wherever you can about this scam. I have also registered for an investigation for the government of Canada.
