Contacted Alpha German Shepherds, said to be located in Edmond OK, to purchase a puppy. They urged me to have puppy air freighted to arrive within 3 hours after payment was received. Then they asked if there was an airport nearby? Hmm . . .
I said I'll drive to their kennel in Edmond to see the puppy I wanted and then take it home with me. They replied that Covid makes it necessary to ship the pup. SCAM

Professional-appearing German Shepherd Puppies for sale website with online contact form. Looks similar to legitimate breeder puppy sale sites including photos of available puppies, age etc. Requested more information about a particular puppy via contact form and received prompt email response. They also promptly responded to my 3 or 4 email requests for more photos of puppy, a sibling puppy and puppies parents. Emails and interaction appeared professional and caring asking appropriate questions. Shared my name, address, & phone number. They said in email they were located in Edmond, Oklahoma but shipment to our state was included in price.. (retrospectively I noted there was no phone number or physical address on the website). They requested payment via Zelle which I did. After an email confirming they dropped the puppy off at the shipping agency, but their original crate wasn't found acceptable, I then got an email from 'shipping agency' saying I would need to rent a thermal electronic crate for shipping and cost was $1200 - $1800 which would be 95% refunded at time of delivery. And included Zelle/Western Union payment email addresses (all different names and apparent personal emails). At that point I realized the original seller was running a Puppy Scam and research found what I experienced was a common scenario.
