I received an priority letter in the mail today. On the letter it says it from Zebra Technologies. Once you open the envelope, the letterhead says D&M Research Group Survery Inc. The letter congratulates me on receiving my first survey packet and it includes a check in my name for $2,450. The letter instructs me to deposit the check into my bank account and then deduct $400 for my commission. After deducting the $400, I'm suppose to use the remaining $2,000 to complete the survey exercise. This letter instructs me to go to Wal-mart and purchase 2 Vanilla gift cards/American Express gift and put $500 on each card. After that, I'm suppose to take pictures of the front and back of each card and email them to [email protected]. This letter is signed by a person named Phillip Graham +1 (7324030976). Although the check looks real with the naked eye, I've done some research and it doesn't have a watermark. The check says it's coming from a company named Alp-n-Rock LLC and this is a CITIBANK check. I will visit that bank in the morning to let them know about this scam. I seems to use real company names to help commit these crimes.
