I had this SAME exact experience but my company was Plain Green Loans. They called and threatened that I would be going to court and facing charges so of course I freaked out and immediately asked to make payment arrangements. Well when I went to look for this company so I could completely pay them off, they are no where to be found. So after seeing this post I immediately called my bank and cancelled my debit card and put in fraud claims with my bank to get my money back. They never provided receipts or sent any emails like they said they would. Lesson also learned on my part.

In 2016 I applied for a loan from cash net USA. I ran into some financial problems and ended up going in debt for that loan. Every year a few times a year a lady or man using the names amber Jones and Keith Schultz will call my mother and demanding they know where I can be located and just being rude and nasty but wouldn’t tell my mom anything. They also have gone to lengths of calling my very first girlfriend which we broke up a long time ago. Finally i called to see what was up. When I called I was told that if I didn’t make a payment I would be facing court. Many times in voice messages threats would be made as far as a file suit against me would be filed with the Hancock county court. They scared me into thinking this was the real company I needed to pay off my debt too. Turns out I was paying a company that doesn’t even exist and isn’t even my debt collector for the loan I owe. I called my bank did stop payments and filed my complaints for fraud. I called the allied financial group in California and warned them that there are scammers that are posing as allied financial group and claiming they are a debt collector and using scare tactics into paying them. I don’t want this to happen to anyone else! If you receive a phone call saying that someone will find you and you will be located trace that number and call the police. Do not give any information out to anyone unless they can prove their business exists. Lesson learned on my part!
