Alliance Moving and Storage Reports & Reviews (7)

I used this service for my moving from NC to NY, they gave me a set contract - when they arrived they double charged me for the move, and I had a day to be out of my place - This broker company is booking with carriers to rip off customers when they arrive - charging thousands more and holding personal belongings for ransom. I spoke with the Carrier and they, Angelia Moving said the Broker Alliance did not give correct quote on space. Alliance refused to answer my call and has blocked me due to me inquiring into this issue and digging into what was really going on. They got their money upfront so now they don't want to deal with me. I can't reach anyone this is straight up criminal, scam and illegal practices. Action needs to be taken to protect the public and especially disabled veterans, myself included. They are taking advantage of vulnerable population of people.

Uses fake names, burner phones, written guarantees upon deposit then changes the language in their contracts, which expire. They fudge documents and someone get away with it time and time again. It’s ridiculous that this is allowed to continue. ******* ******* ** *********** ** is running this operation and has been under various company aliases. They spam review sites with fake 5-star ratings written by the employees themselves. They use a lot of generic names and sometime even used their own name. ****** ******* operates as a customer service agent at two different companies (also In Motion Movers). You can find this stuff with a few searches and yet these people continue to rob people blind. Even retribution of funds isn’t enough to restore the victims; being taken during a stressful, vulnerable time (interstate moves) exhausts the soul and deteriorates one’s ability to trust. These people belong in prison.

Company sales reps will purposely low-ball a moving offer and then attempt to get a non-refundable deposit to schedule the move with a third party. When moving day approaches, the brokered moving company may not show up at all. The booking company will take no responsibility for their sub-contractor and tell you a bunch of lies. They hired out an "F-rated" moving company that confirmed they would arrive on moving day, but failed to show up at all or even bother to call. Twice they confirmed the moving date and time, and twice they stood us up. When you call Customer Service at the booking company, they tell you there is nothing they can do and that they have no responsibility, and that refunds are not given even if the movers fail to show up at all. They lie to you repeatedly with no conscience. Neither the moving company nor the original booking service will return our phone calls. They just took our money and failed to provide the service promised.

Also in the beginning, they send you a link to fake reviews (paid ads), and use the same name as another moving company in another state confusing the customer as to who is who. Read the YELP reviews for this company in Deerfield Beach. You will be stunned by how bad they are compared to the ones they link to (the paid ads). They send you a link to curated reviews instead of the real ones located on Yelp.

Set up a move a month in advance, company said they needed a deposit of 2,205 to start process, I paid it. They said they would call me 3 days before the move to discuss what was being moved and 24 to 48 hours before the move to give me a time for pickup, I had to call 3 days before and they didn't want any info, I had to call the day before and the day of the move trying to get pickup times, they breached their contract for not calling me before the move, I went completely across the country to meet and release my stuff to movers that never showed up or called, I kept calling and emailing them to find out what was going on, they kept giving me the runaround and telling me they would call back, never told me what was going on, never responded back to my emails to the pickup, in all they stole my money, will not return it, led me on that everything alright to travel across the country to meet the nonexistent movers, cost me thousands in travel expenses, kennel fees, hotels. I've left messages and emails to contact me back and they refuse to do it and will not refund me my deposit, its going to court next

We needed a moving company for our cross country trip. They gave us an initial estimate of $3700 and the day before we moved, they changed the estimate to twice as much. We told them we couldn’t pay it and asked for an updated copy of our contract. They kept saying they emailed the contract but we never got it. We clicked on the link for the old contract (which contained the correct email address for me) and it would no longer open. We were stuck with no mover the day before our move, and because we paid the deposit with a check (they wouldn’t accept credit card) we are out $3700. Don’t use this company, there are tons of mentions of their scam on BBB.

They took a $3360 deposit for a move and never moved us. This so called company is a complete scam full of individuals who have a way of making you feel comfortable over the phone. Additionally the contract has been written so they are completely covered. Do not be taken. They either never do your move or they pick up your belongings and keep them hostage until you pay thousands to get it back. Currently there are police tracking them to bring them to justice.

Way low balls you on an estimate over the phone then hikes up the price on moving day, more than double in my case. Requires large cash deposits, only accepts post office money orders, and keeps your items and freezes your move until you pay up. This is a broker who sub contracts to local companies who have like minded business ethics. They hired in my case Logistics Leadership Inc out of San Diego. I'm military and had my items weighed, which I received after the move was completed, and they charged me close to $8,000 for 1300 cubic feet, but my items only weighed around 5,000 pounds, which proves the rest of the complaints here that they spread the items in the trailer so they can charge more. Original quote was for $3400.
