Allgley Logistics Reports & Reviews (1)

- Newnan, GA, USA

I was sent an email stating this company (Allgley Logistics) saw my resume on Indeed and thought I would be a good fit for the job. It's a Customer Service position that is remote (work from home) and handles billing. They are remote temporarily due to Covid 19 and that they would be opening a new office in my area soon. They asked if I would be interested I responded yes. I was then told that someone would contact me at 9am the next day. They didn't state what time zone. I'm on Eastern Time Zone. This company is supposedly in Oregon so Pacific Time Zone. They called me on Pacific time. The phone number that they called me from has a Maine area code which was my first red flag. I even looked up the companies website but it seems legit.

In the meantime, they had me fill out this Labor Agreement form. It is two pages. The first page they wanted me to fill out and email it back to them. Stating my name, address, email, phone number, and days I'm available and willing to work. The second page, they wanted me to sign and date and send along with a picture of my face, holding this document. That seemed very strange to me. The document looks legit. Has a "seal" of the company and then signed by the CEO. I didn't listen to my gut and went ahead and did it because everything now days is online. So I assumed it was OK.

The person that I spoke with the next day wasn't interested in interviewing me or the fact that I have zero experience in billing. She wanted to go over the basics of the job. Monday-Friday 9-5 and that the pay would be $38.40 hr. You get paid every two weeks, plus there is vacation and holiday pay, etc.. That was another red flag...who pays that kind of money to someone who has no experience in billing. I don't even have a college degree. So, that sounded too good to be true. I thought maybe they would pay that and only give me a few hours a week. So, I said that sounded fine. She asked if I wanted to start right away. This was on a Friday. I said, no I would like to start Monday.

They then sent me an email stating that I had to put an Instant Messenger app on my phone so they could keep communication with me and other workers. So, I did. I was able to connect and let the lady know. She told me that work would start Monday at 9am and further correspondence would happen at that time. She also let me know that work would be on my time zone. I asked how I would be starting work? Would that be over zoom or the phone? She said through the Instant Messenger. That was a HUGE red flag for me.

So over the weekend I did some research. I went to the state of Oregon's website for listed businesses since this company claims to be an LLC. There is no record of this company at all. The company also claims on it's website that they have an office in Canada as well. I'm not sure how legit that is, but they are definitely not a company in Oregon. So please beware!! If you see this company, report them!
