This company placed an advertisement on eBay for a Bobcat Compact Track Loader with a forestry mulcher attachment that appeared to be in "Like new" condition. The advertisement revealed low hours on the loader which also appeared to be in "like new" condition. The listing was for an auction no reserve. Payment options included all major credit cards, but if you read the listing, it referenced that credit cards were not acceptable forms of payment. The shipping price showed $1.00, but the listing suggested contacting the seller privately for freight shipping cost. I did contact the seller prior to bidding and winning the item and was quoted $1120 to $1300 (Freight shipping from Rice, Minnesota to Erie, PA). After winning the item, the seller contacted me and said the only acceptable forms of payment were wire transfer and that shipping would cost $1,570 (with $120 handling fee). I questioned this and referenced the former email sent from the seller and he was combative and asked if I was still going to buy the loader because if not, there was another eBayer that had already contacted him with interest to purchase. I bought some time to further investigate through eBay, who agreed with my concerns, recommended that I refrain from payment until they had investigated. Less than 1 hour later, the item was removed from eBay and I was no longer able to purchase the item through eBay. The seller called me shortly after, but didn't leave a message. I returned the call (Queue system saying that I was the next in line, then it went to voicemail). I investigated the website and tried to contact the company through this avenue and the same thing happened with the queue system. SO SHADY!
