On July 7, 2021, lightning struck a house and caused severe fire damage a quarter block from my home. My electricity went out for 3 hours, but was restored. Two days later, a gentleman wearing an official looking "uniform" knocked on my door and told me he was very concerned about the "future" damage caused by the lightning strike and fire down the street. He said my wires might be fragile and start a fire, even though all is fine now. He said it was very important that I have a complete inspection; and it must be done within 24 hours. His company could do it tomorrow as long as I paid $******** upfront in cash. I was very worried so I went to the bank, met him at his truck down the block and gave him the money. He never came back the next day. The business card he had given me did not have a working phone on it. Their website does not exist.
