I was sent an email stating that my resume came to them and met their qualifications for employment. I was told to go to google hangouts for an online interview with mr Samuel Anthony. Near the end of the interview I was told I would be emailed a “check “ to pay for the laptop I would need to conduct my work with them. They sent me an email containing a pdf of a check issued from Suntrust Bank for $3750.00 with instructions to only use my banks mobile app to deposit it. When I told him I was going to take it in to the bank he said no! No! You must use the app! It was here I became suspicious and asked if he was afraid the bank would not accept it in person and he changed the subject and said we will discuss it tomorrow bye for now. Obviously this is a total scam, please watch out for these degenerates and report them too! I just wish I hadn’t wasted all that time for the damn interview,

I am a Freelance Writer/Blogger and am a member of numerous Writer’s organizations, including the National Writers’ Union. I was contacted by the scammers via email inquiring if I would be interested in a position as a Proofreader with a salary of $35 per hour plus benefits, which would amount to $50,000 per year. I searched Alight Solutions on the web and found a legitimate HR Solutions company by that name. Then, I looked at the head Executives and saw the name referenced in the email. The supposed Hiring Manager goes by the name of Morgan Harris. I went through what seemed to be an authentic interview process, and, after waiting a period of time, I was told I was hired. I was instructed to meet them again on Google Hangouts early the next morning to begin training. That’s when things turned bizarre and the red flags went up. I was told that a check had been FedExed to me, and that I was to deposit said check into my checking account. Then, I was supposed to purchase a laptop and software needed for the job. My thoughts were, “why wouldn’t the company supply that directly or why wouldn’t I just use my own laptop?” I took the check to the bank and they told me they thought it was counterfeit. Then I called the Credit Union the check was drawn on, and the account had been frozen due to too many inquiries. They then asked me who my mobile carrier was so the laptop, etc., could be purchased through my carrier. That’s when I called Alight Solutions and they confirmed that it was a fraud. Others had called to make inquiries and they are working with authorities. I told them they were scammers and I have not heard from them again. Everything seemed so on the up and up until the whole “laptop” stuff started. All I can tell you is that it can happen to you too!
