I was contacted through my cell phone from an ad on Kijiji. 'Alexa' told me she wanted the couch I had advertised. She say she had just had surgery and wasn't able to get out, but she was interested in the couch and would send movers to pick it up. She walked me through a mobile checking app because that was her preferred method of payment. The couch was $350.00, she sent me $590.00 which included $220.00 for me to give the movers when they picked it up and an extra $20.00 for me to do this. A 'fake' cheque was deposited through the mobile banking app by Alexa. She asked me to pay Michael (mover) his contact: [email protected] when he picked the couch up. He wouldn't take cash or an e transfer to his email, but wanted me to use https://shakepay.com/. I was fed up by this time, and realized something was going on. I refused to do this. Alexa texted me asking me to refund the money deposited into my account. I did not. The next day she is still wanting her money but I have blocked her phone number and email and am ignoring this situation.

I have made out a cheque for $590. Please deposit and give the extra $220 to my mover as he has other stuff to pick up for me. Please take the extra $20 for the inconvenience of paying my mover.

I have called my bank to have the cheque approved so you should have funds credited into your account upon deposit. Let me know when you have it cleared in your account. I will notify my mover to schedule a pick up arrangement with you.
