I was looking online for a dachshund for my mother as a surprise. I contacted 4-5 different businesses until I found Alexa dachshund puppies who had a legit looking website that I looked through thoroughly. then i looked through their available puppies until i found one, Darcy. i contacted them so i could get the process started for getting her, they got back to me within hours. I talked to them for 2 days asking questions getting all the information before i sent them the money for Darcy. That is when things went downhill. I asked the company if they could send me pictures or a video of the puppy being dropped off at the airport. they continued to not answer that question, and walk around it. They insisted that i send the money first and send a screenshot of the confirmed transaction. Then another company contacted me about the flight. they told me due to united states guidelines they are required to use and electronic thermal crate in order to get the puppy to me. that would have costed me another $995 to RENT the crate for her flight. Now when i talked to the puppy company i was not informed that i would have to pay anything other then the $500 for Darcy. I was told that the company would take care of shipping. That is also what i told the company asking for crate rent. then i went back to Alexa dachshund and told them I was not informed that I would have to spend 995 for thermal crate. They replied telling me it was something that I needed to take care of but that wasn't discussed while purchasing puppy. After I told them I wasn't going to pay the 995 I asked them to take care of it as they stated on the website or give me a refund. I got no response after that and now I am out of 500 and when I requested money back through zelle they declined make request continually. THIS IS A SCAM DON'T DO IT.
