On 2/15/2016, I received an email from the HR department at work that a law firm made a request for garnishment of my paycheck for a very old debt that I had closed many years ago. This account does not show up on my credit report at all. When I called the number back that the supposed law firm had left with the HR department I talked to an Alexandria Peace who immediately started to interrogate as to why I had not paid this mystery debt and that I would be taken to court. Anyway long story short the law firm never gave a company name and left no address.

Just wanted to alert everyone. The contact info they left was:

877-567-9221 ext. 106

They had me all upset at first but when I calmed down and just reflected on how ridiculous the phone conversation was and how shallow the actual information they had on me was I realized it was a scam. The problem that I had was that they contacted my job. This is ridiculous. This type of behavior could cost some people their job.
