Type of a scam Employment
Several Days later I am contacted by Mr. Alex Ketsoyan saying he was my new boss, he was in Canada, but wanted me to take care of some errands for him until he returned to the states. He said he would be paying me $27/hour, and would send me a check that would include my salary and money to pay for the errands he needed me to run. He mentioned that he likes to donate to foster care, and he would send me information about purchasing items for this. I told him I was not accepting employment unless I could get verifiable employment information. (Who send me a salary check without having me fill out government forms?) I thought the matter was over.
Today, I received a certified check for $*** from Bridget Nicholas at 733 E Silva St., Long Beach, CA 90807. The check reverences Isabel Strobel. I also received an email from Mr. Keysoyan asking me to immediately put the check in my bank, and once it had cleared, he would send me instructions for what to do with the $***
I will not deposit this check. I'm worried they will get my bank information that I already refused to give them, and then somehow scam me. I did google Isabel Strobel and found that she has arrest records. I would have to pay money to find out what the arrests are for, but it doesn't matter. I'm very sure this is a scan.
